Warehousing & logistics

Warehouses, distribution centres and fulfilment operations flex with demand. This page lists the questions that usually matter for the sector, without promising that people are available.

About this field of work

Logistics sites often have a stable core team and a variable layer for peaks such as holidays or sales events. The mix of manual handling, scanners, warehouse systems and powered equipment determines what a role actually demands.

Roles often found in this field

  • Warehouse operatives, pickers and packers
  • Forklift and reach-truck operators
  • Goods-in and goods-out staff
  • Fulfilment and returns teams
  • Stock controllers
  • Team leaders

These are typical occupations in the field. They are not a statement about what Skilled Workers Poland can supply or about the availability of people.

Questions worth settling

Peak or permanent?
A short peak and a permanent expansion call for very different planning. Say which you have in mind and how predictable the volumes are.
Equipment and systems
Do people need to use scanners, warehouse-management software or powered trucks? Clarify what training you give.
Physical demands and temperature
Chilled and frozen sites, lifting requirements and shift length are worth describing plainly.
Direct hire or agency work
Rules on agency workers and equal treatment differ by country. If workers would come through an agency, check how that works where you are.

Licences, certificates and regulated points

Some tasks legally require certificates or registration, and the rules depend on the country where the work happens. Check these with the competent authority:

  • Forklift, reach-truck or other equipment licences where required
  • Manual-handling and safety training requirements

Common questions

Does everyone in a warehouse need a forklift licence?

No. Only roles that operate such equipment do, and requirements differ by country and employer. Say which roles need it.

Can the question be about timing alone?

Yes. If you are planning a peak, you can talk to us early; lead time is usually the main constraint.
