What "skilled" means: skills are more than certificates

Short answer: At Skilled Workers Poland, skilled means more than a certificate: practical experience, reliability, independence, communication, teamwork and readiness to learn and work abroad all count, alongside any licences or certificates the role legally requires.

Our definition

Skilled Workers Poland connects international employer needs with recruitment opportunities involving people from Poland. For us, skills are not limited to certified tradespeople or highly qualified specialists. They include:

  • Practical work experience in the kind of work you need done.
  • Reliability and responsibility.
  • Independence and adaptability.
  • The ability to live and work abroad.
  • Communication and teamwork.
  • Readiness to learn and work in a new environment.

Who this is for

Employers who keep businesses running every day: hotels and housekeeping, restaurants and kitchens, manufacturing and production, warehousing and logistics, drivers and transport, construction and technical trades, welding and metalworking, agriculture and seasonal work, and other roles. See all sectors.

Where certificates still matter

Some roles legally require licences or certificates, for example driving categories, forklift operation, regulated electrical work or specific welding standards. Where your role requires one, say so in your request. A certificate is one part of being suitable, and its absence does not by itself rule someone out for roles that do not require it.

What we do not claim

This definition describes how we think about the work, not a promise about any individual. We do not claim in advance that particular candidates are available, qualified or eligible to work in your country, and we do not guarantee placements. Eligibility depends on nationality and the destination country’s rules; see employment permits, nationality and eligibility.

How to use this when you contact us

Tell us what matters in the role: the experience you value, the working environment, the language you need and anything about the team or location. See what to include in a workforce request.

Information is general and may be out of date by the time you read it. It is not legal or immigration advice. Check the official sources above and take professional advice for your situation.
